Usage

Text Translation

Translate plain text between 27 languages with auto-detect, tones, and TTS.

Text translation is Karpa's core workflow.

Steps

  1. Select a source language (or leave Auto Detect on).
  2. Select a target language.
  3. Choose a translation tone (optional).
  4. Enter your text in the source panel.
  5. Press Ctrl+Enter or click Translate.

The translated text appears in the right panel.

What you can do with the result

  • Copy: click the copy icon to copy the translation to the clipboard.
  • Listen: click the speaker icon to hear it aloud via text-to-speech.
  • Favorite: star the translation to save it permanently.
  • History: every translation is saved automatically either way.

During translation

  • A progress bar shows overall progress.
  • Long texts are split into chunks and translated sequentially. You can see the current chunk and total count.
  • Click Cancel to stop a running translation at any time.

Tips

  • Auto Detect works best with longer text; short phrases can be ambiguous.
  • Use the swap button to exchange source and target languages (disabled while source is Auto Detect).
  • Toggle between Text and File modes at the top of the translator.
  • Character counts are shown at the bottom of each panel.
